It’s OK if You’re Having a Bad Day

OK, so your day went to shit and nothing is going your way. You’re feeling pretty salty and you’re doing everything in your power not to lose it! Sound familiar? We’ve all had these days and we’ll have more throughout our life but how do we handle them. Some would say that we still have a chance to turn it around and hat may be true, at times… But that sometimes just adds pressure at a time when more pressure is the last thing you need. The irony of “trying to turn it, around” is that it might make things worse. We’ve all been there, right?

Time to hit the showers

Don’t get me wrong you may be able to turn it around and pull out a win. If you do then all the high fives and kudos to ya! All I’m saying that it’s OK if you don’t; sometimes a win is recognizing you are not on your A game. Slowing down the momentum so your day doesn’t get worse, is your win. Also, you might just have chalk the day to not one of your best, regroup and reset. How do I reset? I relax as best I can and stop trying so damn hard and if it’s late enough in the evening, I go to bed. Everything usually looks better after a good night’s rest. Above all, be kind to yourself. Everyday isn’t going to be perfect.

*Note: This morning, I woke up in a terrible mood. The irony; I was working on this post the previous night thinking that all would be better the next day. Unfortunately, I didn’t sleep well and therefore woke up a salty dog. Middle of the morning, I chuckled a bit thinking about this post and this helped me stop the momentum and make the most of the rest of the day. So a win of sorts and after I hit publish on this sucker, I’m going to bed to reset.

Better days ahead!!
