Reminder to Practice Self Care

This is just a small blog post to remind you and whoever finds this page to breathe and remember to put you first. I know we all have challenges around us, our loved ones have challenges, sometimes our loved ones are the challenges. Just remember that you’re no good to the people around you if you aren’t in a good place yourself. The best thing you can do for the people you love is be a healthy, happy you.

It doesn’t have to be a major event, just something that refills your cup just a bit.

Take Time To:

  • Savor that last bite
  • Read a chapter in your book
  • Catch up on your favorite show
  • Take just a little bit longer in the shower
  • Put down your phone
  • Take that power nap or Yoga Nidra
  • Literally, smell the roses or anything pleasant
  • Play an instrument
  • Work on an creative endeavor
  • Write a friend
  • Go for a walk
  • Plan a trip
  • Call a friend
  • Exercise

These are just a few examples of what I do to keep me feeling good. A comprehensive list, it is not but it’s a start. What do you do to recharge/keep your spirits up? Whatever it is, keep it going!

When in doubt, breathe!
